Theater companies
Regional theaters and PWI LORT houses. Hosts, co-producers, and second-production partners once a play leaves development.
Partners & Host Institutions
144 identified institutional partners across theater, higher education, and public history — the network the first tour leg is built from.
Counts reflect the New Day Theatricals partner and venue database, version 2.0, August 2026. 79 + 33 + 23 + 9 = 144.
The Network
The first leg is ten stops across the Southeast and Deep South. Each stop pairs a venue with the community institutions around it, so a single performance reaches a campus, a congregation, a chapter, and a city at once.
We are actively adding institutions to the network ahead of the November 1, 2026 launch.
Who We Work With
Regional theaters and PWI LORT houses. Hosts, co-producers, and second-production partners once a play leaves development.
Performance venues, theater departments, and student audiences. Campus residencies and playwriting workshops are built into the stop.
Civil rights museums and institutions allied with Black history and culture — the archival and interpretive counterweight to the play.
Engaged at the chapter level in each tour city. City by city, we are housed, hosted, and welcomed by NPHC chapters. That is not logistics — that is the audience.
The Exchange
A company of four to eight, one to three days on site, and a package we build with you — performance, talkback, and either a playwriting workshop or a community listening session.
We come with the production. What we ask of you is a room, an audience, and your honest read of whether the play is telling the truth.
The Arithmetic of a Tour
Ten stops on the first leg, fall 2027, across the Southeast and Deep South.
One commissioned play reaches ten communities, four states, and thousands of students in a single academic year — for less than a single mainstage production.
